Dog collars - At many schools, punishing students over their attire rare
From dog collars worn as necklaces to explicit T-shirts, school officials say they continuously encounter students who bend dress code rules. But in at least some area schools, these students are rarely punished.

Mariposa wasnt particularly helpful when it came to picking out her own Christmas gift. During a Thursday visit to the South Hill Petco, the golden-colored mixed-breed pooch sniffed everything but showed a preference for nothing.
Re: Hesperia City Councilman Mike Leonards statements about pit bulls (To ban or not to ban, Daily Press, Dec. 28). Mr. Leonard has to make sure his facts are right before he makes himself look more idiotic.
CHICAGO -- Squirrels hit the genetic lottery with their chubby cheeks and bushy tails. Theyre rodents, after all, and its hard to imagine picnickers tossing peanuts and cookies their way if they looked like rats.
