Baby blankets - BREAKING NEWS

The staff at DeSoto Memorial Hospital knew the first baby of 2007 had been born when the music started. Whenever a child is born at the hospital, a lullaby is played over the intercom.
When it's nippy at night and there are Christmas commercials on TV, there is nothing we overstressed, overshopped Americans want more than to swaddle ourselves in something yummy and park it on the couch.
Ashland High School senior Kayla Treister will be raffling off quilts and other items to benefit Dunn House, a local shelter for victims of domestic violence.
On Wednesday, December 6th, The Today Show, NBC's top-rated morning show, will feature Little Giraffe blankets in a segment highlighting the best Holiday gifts for babies and kids. Such prominent exposure on national media during the prime Holiday shopping season comes as no surprise, given all the celebrity attention Little Giraffe has received in 2006. Stacks and stacks of baby blankets are now being passed out, so San Antonio area children aren't left cold.
A fortune cookie opened a couple of days ago told Travis Venson and Ashland Perrone that they would be contest winners. Venson said Perrone's father interpreted that to mean the couple would be the parents of the Valley's fi rst baby born in 2007. He was right.

LADY LAKE A rainbow array of crocheted and knitted items covered several long tables in the ceramics room of the Water Oak Main Clubhouse as members of the Creative Needles sorted items and counted them, group by group.
