Automobile insurance - Commerce Group to buy NY insurance firm

ACIC Holding co. Inc., which is jointly owned by Commerce and AAA Southern New England, is buying Swico Enterprises Ltd., which owns State-Wide Insurance Co., a property and casualty insurer, in a move that will enable Commerce to begin selling homeowners and vehicle insurance in New York next year.
